What you can do in the event of a loss.
The first thing you will want to try and do is reduce and/or prevent further damage if at all possible. If there has been theft or a burglary make sure you call the Police quickly.
When you are ready to report your claim we recommend that you follow the questions below so that we can accurately provide advice and report your loss to the insurance company.
- Do you have any photos or police reports.
- What happened and if so what was damaged?
- When did it happen – time and date?
- Where did it happen?
- Who was involved?
- Why did it happen and what ended up causing the loss?
If you were involved in an auto collision you need to exchange your insurance information with the other person. In addition make sure you collect their driving information.
- Full name
- Drivers License Number
- Insurance Information (insurance company and policy number)
- Phone number (try it)
- If the person isn’t cooperating write down their license number and call the police.
